Hike in Langsua National Park
In the third week of September, we went Hiking in Langsua National Park. The plan was a four day walk from Liomseter to Haldorbu, Storhøliseter, Storkvelvbu and back to Liomseter, with one night at each cabin, with the exception of Liomseter where we parked the car. We had a bit of rain on the first day, but this only made the views even more dramatic. During the first day, the forecast for the next days changed, to heavy snow fall on day 2, and fog on the remaining days. We got up very early and left at dawn on day 2. The decision to go on or turn back would be made when we got up onto the highlands north of Haldorbu. When we got to the highlands, the snow already lay a few centimeters deep, and kept falling heavily. We decided not to chance anything, since we did not have gear to camp in case we got lost. Visibility was only about 100 meters. When visibility improved, the snow made for another set of incredible views.
